Move Day Details

When Will My Team Arrive?

On the day of your move, our team will do their best to arrive right on time. We know that unexpected things like traffic can happen, so we have a 60-minute arrival window. If your move is scheduled to start at 8 AM, you can expect our team to arrive between 8 AM and 9 AM.

Can I Talk with My Moving Team Before They Arrive?

Absolutely! Your service team lead will have your phone number and will reach out to you before they arrive. If you need to get in touch first, feel free to email us at info@sparrowmovers.com or call us at 612-444-1284.

Start of Move Walkthrough: Discuss the Plan

When your movers arrive, they’ll begin with a walkthrough of your home to create a loading plan. This is the perfect time to point out any fragile items needing special care or furniture pieces that need to be disassembled. Also, if there are any items you don’t want your movers to pack onto the truck, be sure to let them know.

What Happens if Something Gets Damaged During My Move?

We always aim to take great care of your belongings throughout your move. If something does get damaged or lost, we’re here to help resolve it quickly and fairly. If you think Sparrow is responsible for any damage or missing items, please email us at info@sparrowmovers.com. Our Claims team will review and get back to you within 48hrs. To make things faster, include photos and any details about the damage in your email. We’re committed to making things right for you!

What If My Move Runs Longer Than Expected?

We understand that moves can sometimes take longer than expected. To make sure your movers are available for the full duration, it’s important to book adequate time and share a detailed inventory of your belongings for an accurate estimate.

Here’s what happens if your move runs longer:

Hourly Pricing Model:

  • If your move is priced with hourly pricing, you will pay for the actual time your move takes, calculated in 15-min increments.
  • This applies to moving labor, complete home moves, and packing/unpacking services

Flat-Rate Pricing Model:

  • If your move is priced as a flat-rate move (like long-distance moves), you’ll only be charged the agreed price, regardless of how long the move takes.

How Can I Tip My Moving Team, and What’s a Standard Amount?

The easiest way to tip your pros is when you’re paying your final bill. Once your move is complete, your team lead will prepare the invoice and guide you through the details. Standard tipping amounts typically range from 5 percent to 20 percent of your total, per each mover. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by our team!
